Born 1947 in Aengelholm

I started playing guitar and sing in a group called The Blue Jacks playing pop in the early sixties. In the middle of this decade I left for the group Arthurs in Baastad playing british and american R&B. Then it was the guitar duo Mac & Martin who with own compositions in Everly Brothers and Simon & Garfunkel style often occurred in radio.

In 1980 some musician friends and I founded what later was to become a legendary blues group, the Bluesblocket from Lund. We toured and played during five years in Sweden and Denmark together with artists like Peps Persson, Caesar (from Caesar’s Blues Band), Troels Jensen an Joergen Lang (from Delta Cross Band), Maarten Micro (from Kal P Dal and Linus and the losers), Ralph Svensson (from Funky team) and Jan Gerfast (from Jan Gerfast Blues band) This group recorded an LP and did a lot of radio during its five years of existance.

In the middle of the eighties some other musician friends and I formed Chisum express that later became Ella B Band. This band played outlaw country blues in Dwight Yoakam and Delbert McClinton style, had a lot of gigs and did a lot of radio.

At the same time I started an acoustic Piedmont blues and ragtime guitar band together with Kenneth Engstroem from Ella B Band. This duo, in which we both played guitar, should later develop into the acoustic group Piedmont project . I also, during this time, played a lot with Ferne (Lars Fernebring from famous group Risken finns) and multi-instrumentalist Martin Landgren. When these people just recently combined themselves with Ulf “Proffis” Oldehed and Thomas Wiehe Ferne och de fyra sista was formed.

So at last, in 2002, together with Torbjoern Engstroem, Ulf Niss and guitar player Ulf “Proffis” Oldehed, I formed the first version of the Blue Strangers.
