Lars Berggren , guitar. Born 1951 in Malmoe

I started as guitar player in The Candys in 1964. Since the members of this group weren’t so old it was sometimes called “Malmoe Lollipops” (The lollipops was a danish group with very young members). The Candys was influenced by merseybeat and played formost covers of songs by Beatles and Searchers but also guitar pop á la The Shadows together with some own material. The Candys was during the sixties a rather famous band.

!965 – 1968 i played with The Question Marks, a band from Malmoe playing R&B and british mods-music. We were very influenced by Pretty Things and The Who. Eventually we took in saxes and developed into soul music.

During the seventies I played with various groups, among others Skånska Musikmaskiner and some socialist agit prop groups like for example Klarspråket in Malmoe.

1987 I joined The Delphis, a band from Lund playing pop from the sixties. This band went on until 1993. Another member in this band was Torbjoern Engstroem.

2003 I joined Blue Strangers.
